STEP 1. Run the regedit command to start the Registry Editor.
STEP 2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ registry key.
STEP 3. Delete both UpperFilters and LowerFilters entries.
Alternate Resolution Method: You can also resolve the issue by resetting the drive letter. Perform the following steps to accomplish the task.
STEP 1. Run the compmgmt.msc command to open the Computer Management console.
STEP 2. Select Disk Management from the console
STEP 3. If the DVD drive is visible, right-click and select Change Drive Letter and Paths.
STEP 4. Click Change and choose a new letter. If the drive is visible in explorer, then repeat the process to change the drive letter back.
