Share Mac OS X Lion files with Windows 7 PCs
If you have to quite often work on Macs and Windows 7 PCs, sharing files between them through a network can be tricky. For those of you who aren’t able to configure your Macs and Windows 7 systems for file sharing, there’s an easy to follow procedure. The solution steps are for a Mac with OS X Lion 10.7.2 or later and a PC running Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate.
First of all, you need to configure the Workgroup names of your Mac and PC. After this, set the file sharing and SMB options for your Mac. For accessing the shared files and folders on a Mac from a Windows 7 PC, you should know the IP address of the Mac. Just follow the steps given here and you’re good to go.
