A social alert system-type app named Warnygo has hit the Windows Marketplace. Warnygo is an alert app that allows the user to publish alerts for others to receive, as well as get alerts related to the subscribed zones.
The alerts range from road hazards to weather alerts, and spotted celebrities to someone who requires medical attention. Warnygo app covers a wide range of categories to choose from. The zones can be created while announcing ‘warnies’ and names given to alerts to limit who can see your postings depending on their location. You can also configure the app to receive alerts as you might not be interested in road incident alerts for another county.
The ‘warnies’ can also be viewed on the official website of Warnygo that offers an interactive map too. It is an interesting concept for a social network and it will be interesting to see how this takes off on the Windows Phone platform.
You can download Warnygo for free from the Windows Marketplace. A premium version of the app is mentioned in the description but does not appear to be available as-of-yet.
