Evolution of the Windows 7 PC [video]
Since its launch in 2009, Windows 7 has sold over 600 million licenses across the world. And during this time, the good old PC has undergone several changes. The evolution of Windows 7 PCs includes enhancements in computer performance, more storage space, stunning HD displays, slimmer and lighter laptops, blazing fast speed, and lots more.
At the Computex exposition in Taipei, Steven Guggenheimer, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft's OEM Division, presented a video on the evolution of Windows 7 computers. The journey of Windows 7-based PCs starts from the Alienware M17x gaming laptop in October 2009 to the rugged HP EliteBook 2740P PC in March 2010, ASUS ZENBOOK UX21 in 2011, and the Dell XPS 13 laptop in 2012.
It’s been an interesting evolution of Windows 7 PCs and with new Microsoft products such as Windows 8 scheduled to be launched in 2012, the computer will soon be seen in a refreshed and more powerful avatar.
