Free Square Off and 1.3 Update for Windows® Phone
"We are really excited to roll out this new update as well as release a new free version on the Marketplace," said level artist Adam Matera. "Both include player-requested tweaks to movement controls and online high-score ladders for people to post up their best round score!"
Microsoft has come up with a free version of its Xbox 360 game Square Off in Windows Phone 7. The Xbox 360 game Square Off, which was launched way back in 2009 by Perth team Gnomic Studios, is a 2.5D Survival Shooter that fights the never-ending rows of enemies. The enthusiasm gets geared up even more owing to the 3D effects of the guns that perfectly complement the environment.
Apart from the free version of the game on Windows Phone 7, the existing paid app has also been updated to version 1.3.
While the product may be available as both paid and ad-supported version on the market, the updated version provides several advanced features. The version offers the feature of online high-scores and ladders. Control over the movement is much more enhanced and to cater to a larger mass appeal, the updated version provides support in German language as well. There are more of these fascinating features that are being implemented to grab more attention and interest of the users. More stability, bug fixes, and smaller downloading size (approximately 20 MB for the new users) are some of the added features.
Lead developer Aranda Morrison said, "We will be bringing out a Mango update as soon as possible after this release. It will support Fast App Switching and have improved frame rates."
While Xbox has had to deal with a lot of criticisms, its popularity has not decreased a bit. Those acquainted with the same, have their high hopes pinned to the free updated versions of the Xbox 360 game Square Off.
