Microsoft® promotes Fruit Ninja via wallpapers
As many console game players may be aware, Fruit Ninja Kinect was launched for XBOX 360 on August 10, 2011. The game supports motion gaming and multi-player support making it a perfect game for party time.
It was initially released for iOS phones, followed by its release on Windows Phone 7, where it was a huge success, before it was released for XBOX 360. And now, as a gesture of gratitude to its customers for making Fruit Ninja Kinect a success, Microsoft, the owner of XBOX 360, has released Fruit Ninja Kinect wallpapers. Microsoft has the thought of reminding them to check it out on XBOX 360 too. Microsoft has made these wallpapers transparent and available for you to download and use. Users can grab the Fruit Ninja wallpaper pack from the Internet.
Fruit Ninja did extremely well on the App Store and for good reason: its fruit-slicing gameplay is a perfect game for the short-burst gaming the Windows Phone offers. It also felt at home on a touchscreen device, offering accurate sword swinging by swiping your finger across the screen.
XBOX 360 however doesn't really suit as a perfect platform for Fruit Ninja Kinect for short-burst gaming as there's no touch screen and it costs 800 Microsoft Points. Nevertheless, it works and is jolly good fun.
All in all, there's no denying that Fruit Ninja Kinect is great fun when played alone or with friends. It also makes brilliant use of the Kinect hardware.
Microsoft also organized a Fruit Ninja contest at Comic-Con 2011, in San Diego, California, last month. Comic-Con is the largest comic book and popular arts convention in the world.
