Windows Phone 7 has added a new safety app to keep you safe wherever you go. Guardly, will help you to connect to your family, friends, and securities in one touch. Your location will be easily accessible by your helpers. This app is helpful for students, late night workers, etc. Just launch the Guardly app, and whenever you are in danger you can easily send alerts to everyone in just a touch.
Guardly is also launched for other mobile platforms like Blackberry, Android, and iPhone. You can download it from the App World, Android Market, and App Store, respectively. This app is absolutely free of cost.
Universities are taking a great interest in this safety app. According to reports, 67 universities in Canada have already launched this app to provide security to students when they are inside the campus. It will connect them to the university security system, and when students send help alerts, they will be easily located with the help of GPS.
With the help of Guardly, you can alert two networks at a time— you can call 911 or any emergency number and at the same time you can send alerts to your family and friends. You can also send alerts through SMS, e-mails, or by calling.
Josh Sookman, CEO at Guardly said that that the slow response of 911 inspired the company to come up with this app. He added, “Inspiration for this free service for students came from better understanding how calls for help generally occur on university campuses and how archaic the systems are. Our technology brings the capability code blue emergency phones, typically found sparsely on campus paths and in buildings, onto students' smartphones, which we believe will reduce response times for those calling for help.”
