HTC® Mozart with Windows® Phone 7
HTC Mozart is a new phone from HTC which runs on Windows Phone 7 operating system (OS). The design of the phone is quite good and the phone is comfortable to hold. This phone doesn’t have buttons other than the volume keys, a power/screen lock key, and a camera activation/shutter release button. It has a standard micro USB port on the same side as that of volume keys. The screen of this phone is Super LCD 3.7 inch touch-screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. There are three touch keys on the screen - the Bing search key and the return key are placed at the corners while the Home key, which is actually the Microsoft’s custom logo, is placed at the center.
The interface of this phone is very colorful and its navigation is made easy by the vibrant Windows Phone 7 OS. There are several shortcuts for quick access. The home screen is tile based, which you can customize as per your need by moving the tiles around. The color theme of these tiles can also be changed from the settings option. Most of the tiles are like typical shortcuts, with a logo, while some are like widgets, with animated movements. You can pin your favorite apps, websites, contacts, etc., on the home screen.
The phonebook in HTC Mozart is very spacious and is integrated with Windows Live and Facebook. You can also synchronize the Calendar option with your Windows Live ID and Facebook. While using the phone, you won’t be able to see the signal or battery indicators on the screen, which are generally situated at the top. If you want to view these indicators, you need to tap on the top of the screen. You can also see messages and other such notifications here. You simply need to tap on the icon once more to access these options. Though, you can access messages and other notifications from the tile menu as well.
