Internet Explorer 9 share on Windows 7 increased in March
In March 2012, there was an increase in the number of Windows 7 users who browse the web with Internet Explorer 9 (IE9). As per the latest web browser usage data provided by Net Applications, a California-based company, almost 50 percent of the people in the U.S. who have Windows 7 now use Internet Explorer 9.
According to Net Applications, the global market share of Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7 stood at 35 percent in March 2012. However, the global market share of Internet Explorer 9 in March stood at 53.8 percent, an increase of 0.99 percent. The usage data was compiled by Net Applications by comparing all the popular browsers with the exception of Google Chrome 18 as it was just released on March 28.
Internet Explorer 9 is the latest web browser from Microsoft and it was released in March 2011. Several performance and design enhancements were made in Internet Explorer 9 as compared to its earlier versions.
