Microsoft has finally released the SDK (Software Development Kit) of Kinect Sensor that is used in Xbox 360 for the Windows 7 platform. Microsoft wanted to cash into the numerous applications that have been used by professionals around the world so as to provide a better basis for ingenuity.
The SDK will allow developers from various fields, such as academics, engineering, animation, etc. to able to use the Kinetic sensor for their best utilization. By developing an application on Windows 7 platform, developers will be able to get raw streaming data, which will include the properties of depth sensing, color, and microphone array.
Currently the SDK will only be available in beta version which will allow developers to track human motion and build applications in Windows 7 through various programming languages, such as C++, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, Visual Basic, and C #.
Ever since the release of Kinect Sensor with Xbox 360, games development has been revolutionized. This has enabled gamers to be part of the game, by being able to capture the movements of their body into the game.
