Lenovo has incorporated a new set of performance and security optimization features for Windows computers. According to the company, these enhancements will allow a PC to boot more quickly and function in a secured environment. The software enhancements will be made into Lenovo’s ThinkPad and IdeaPad products.
The revamped notebooks and all-in-one desktops will be branded as ‘Enhanced Experience 3’ (EE3) PCs – a certification exclusive to Lenovo. The company claims that its ThinkPads and IdeaPads bearing the new EE3 brand can boot up 40% faster than non-certified Windows 7 devices. This jump can be attributed to Lenovo’s RapidBoot technology, which enables a PC to boot up in 24 seconds on an average. According to Lenovo, non-certified Windows 7 PCs take approximately 41 seconds to boot up.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U310 and Lenovo IdeaPad U410 ultrabooks will be two of the first products from Lenovo’s product portfolio that will come equipped with the EE3 boot speed optimizations. Other IdeaPad, ThinkPad, and ThinkPad Edge models will also incorporate these new features.
