Lenovo® launches Windows® 7 ThinkPad® laptops
Lenovo Group Ltd, the fourth-largest seller of personal computers in the world, has announced two new additions, ThinkPad SL410 and 510, in the ThinkPad family of laptops, which are presently available through the Lenovo's websites and certain retail channels.
These new additions come equipped with the new Windows 7 operating system. Both of these models are advertised as having 56% fastest shut down and boot up times as compared to other laptops with an identical unoptimized configuration. These models are obtainable in different configurations ranging from 14-inch ThinkPad SL410 to 15.6-inch SL510.They are basically designed and developed by keeping in mind the need of small and medium businesses. Various features have been added to these new ThinkPads ranging from built-in 3G broadband Internet to higher-resolution webcams. There has been a new addition to the microphones, a mute button both for voice and video conferencing.
The cost factor has also been decided on the basis of the lower end and the higher end models, as the lower end model having with a 160GB hard disk drive and an Intel Celeron T3000 1.8GHz processor, whereas the higher end model is having with a 250GB hard disk drive and an Intel Core 2 Duo T5870 2.0GHz processor which are available in the price range from $500 to $700. Certain configurations are kept common in both the models like the 802.11n Wi-Fi networking, multitouch trackpad, and Intel GMA 4500MHD chipset etc.
