More Apps Added by Microsoft® in Zune® Marketplace
The total number of apps and games available on the Zune Marketplace has risen to 62 with the launch of nine new apps and updates for four previously available apps. Microsoft always tries to keep Zune in light by trying to make it a one-stop place for entertaining and enjoyable games and utilities. Well, now we know for sure that Microsoft is not going to ignore Zune in the near future at least.
The new apps which are added to the list in Zune Marketplace are Finger Paint, Calendar, Trash Throw, Slider Puzzle, ColorSpill, Splatter Bug, Vine Climb, Decoder Ring, and Tug-O-War. Apart from these nine all new apps, the updates are available for Email, Echoes, Zune Reader, and Penalty! Flick Soccer. This addition has brought the total number of apps for Zune HD to 62. However, this number is still less than the 25,000 plus apps available on Windows Phone presently.
Zune Marketplace is an online store owned by Microsoft where you can get a lot of online entertainment content, including songs, videos, movies, music, TV shows, mobile games, applications, etc. This online content can be purchased and viewed on all Windows-based PCs that have Zune software installed on them. Same can be done from Zune devices like the Xbox 360, Microsoft Kin phones, and Windows Phone 7. Zune Marketplace has a collection of 11 million songs to choose from. Presently, Zune Marketplace is available in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Although people from all these countries have Zune and can purchase content from here, but podcasts and TV shows are not available anywhere except in the United States.
