Touch screen phones are the things of the past now. Get yourself ready for the future with the new Touch Mouse by Microsoft. Unveiled in the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, the mouse was developed in the Mouse 2.0 project, which was conducted by the Microsoft Research and Applied Sciences Group. Mark Relph, Senior Director, Windows Developer and Ecosystem Team- Microsoft, said, “The new Touch Mouse is a great way for customers to interact naturally with their Windows 7-based PC. We worked closely with the Microsoft Hardware team to help develop the multi-touch gestures that make Windows 7 easier, simpler and more fun to use. After just a few minutes with this mouse you’ll see why.”
This new Touch Mouse uses Blue Track Technology, which helps a user to track on every type of surface. The tiny Nano transceiver of this mouse is very small and easily fits into the USB port of the Windows 7 PC. Using this multi-touch mouse is also very convenient and easy. You can either use one, two or three fingers to do most of the jobs in the Windows 7 platform, depending on what you want to do.
Using one finger, you can do multiple tasks like managing files, documents, scrolling, panning, or tilting. You can also easily go back or forward to the web pages you are browsing with just the use of your thumb. By using your two fingers, you can minimize, maximize, restore, or move your program windows with great simplicity. And using three fingers give you the rest of the functionality.
This mouse is available in the market from June 2011 at a price of $79.99, and comes with a three-year hardware warranty from Microsoft.
