Microsoft has added some new features to the Remote Desktop Connection option in Windows 7 operating system. In addition to the ‘play on this computer’ option in the Remote Desktop Connection, you will find a new option to ‘record from this computer’ too. This added feature allows you to use voice recognition, voice chat, and other software that requires a microphone.
You just need to enable the ‘audio capture’ in the Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration on the server before using this option. The remote access feature was introduced in Windows 7 by Microsoft to allow other users to access your computer system remotely without the need for any third-party software.
Apart from the ability to record audio to a remote session, the new audio features also include more control over the way Remote Desktop adjusts the audio quality.
