Over The Air configuration settings for Windows® Phone 7 devices to launch soon
An Over The Air (OTA) connectivity solution for all the Windows Phone 7 platform-based devices has been announced by a mobile device management vendor called Mobilethink. This will allow all Windows Phone 7 users to use the mobile Internet from power up for the first time, without depending on the network service provider. The company claims that it will start rolling out this Windows Phone 7 solution in April 2012.
Usually the network operators rely on handset manufacturers to pre-configure their devices for use on all networks. But, since Windows Phone 7 was included into their networks, the network operators have been receiving complaints from Windows Phone 7 users that they are unable to connect to the Internet for various activities, such as accessing social networking websites, checking their mails, sending video clips to friends and family members, etc.
The new Windows Phone 7 solution from Mobilethink will solve the above-mentioned problem as it will be offered to mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) and other network operators globally.
