Handling RSS feeds with regard to news items, articles, or any other Internet content can often be a multitasking issue unless you have a dedicated app like NewsLab to handle all your RSS items.
In order to import the RSS feeds from Google Reader, you can choose the featured categories that are listed when you open the NewsLab app in Windows Phone 7. Some of the examples of these categories include business, design, entertainment, etc. It is essential that you choose feeds on the basis of categories so that when the feeds are streamed to your Windows Phone 7, you will be able to distinguish between them.
Once you have chosen the featured categories, the second menu screen is displayed that shows the main category along with separate tile showing each news feeds. It is interesting to see how NewsLab has taken advantage of the tile-based interface in Windows Phone 7, as it has placed the categories in a similar fashion.
So, if you scroll to a category like entertainment, then you will see a list of tiles displaying information of celebrities, movies, TV shows, etc. All these list of tiles that are displayed are the RSS feeds. To view all feeds, you can navigate with the scroll arrow buttons that are located at the bottom.
Here is a brief video that will provide you with preview of how you can use the NewsLab app to receive RSS feeds:
