Shuriken Ninja another success story on Windows® Phone platform
Geekworks, the developers of 'Shuriken Ninja' gaming app that came up on the Windows Marketplace recently, has reportedly claimed that the game is downloaded approximately 900 to 1,200 times on a daily basis. According to the two-man team of developers, the game has been downloaded a total of 436,349 times since its launch in the year 2011.
On an average, the Geekworks generates a revenue of US $1.69 eCPM (essential earning per impression), which gives Geekworks an earnings total of US $245,000 a year. Initially, Shuriken Ninja was a paid app for Windows Phones, but Geekworks experienced a limited success with the game. So, they changed their business strategy and made it a free, advertisement-supported game. The game took off well and is currently positioned at the top of the Windows Marketplace free strategy/simulation list.
