Skype Windows Phone app updated to Version 1.2
An update to the popular online telecommunication and messaging app Skype has been released for Windows Phone. The updated version 1.2 includes several enhancements and also resolves some problems that were earlier encountered. A new feature that has been introduced in the update is that users can now edit the phone number on the dial-pad before making a call. Also, the contact list in Skype now shows all phonebook entries with at least one number.
In the updated Skype Windows Phone app, glitches such as calendar notifications terminated by Skype calls and instant messaging crashing the program have been fixed. However, the app still has some problems that have not been fixed yet.
There’s no Bluetooth support for audio or video calls. If you answer an incoming call, your Skype call will be aborted. The minimum requirements for running Skype are the same as earlier. The app needs at least 512 MB of memory on a Windows Phone to operate.
The Skype app is free to download and requires Windows Phone 7.5 or higher versions of the mobile operating system. You can download the app from the Windows Phone Marketplace.
