Microsoft is developing the sequel of the popular Windows Phone game, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I, in such a way that you will be able to play the Sonic Episode 2 on both Windows Phone and XBOX Live platforms.
Ken Balough, Digital Grand Manager for Sonic Episode 2, says that Sonic Episode 2 that saves on Windows Phone will load up on XBOX 360 and vice-versa. “So when you pick up the Windows Mobile 7 and you’ll be able to play Sonic Episode II, save it, stop, boot up your XBOX 360 and pick up right where you left off.”
Software giant Microsoft has been commenting about such sort of integration for some time now. In March 2010, six months before the launch of Windows Phone 7, it demonstrated an Indiana Jones platform that could run across XBOX 360 and Windows Phone using the same save file stored in the Cloud. But Sonic Episode 2 is going to mark the first instance of this being made available to the end users.
By the time the Sonic Episode 2 is officially released by Microsoft, you can hone your gaming skills by playing the currently available Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I.
