The cross platform mobile app Viber, which lets the user to make free voice over Internet protocol (VOIP) phone calls and text messages, is soon going to hit the Windows Marketplace. The app allows a user to talk and send messages for free to anyone else who also has the application installed on his handset device.
Unlike Skype, the user of Viber need not to create an account to use this wonderful calling app. Viber just uses the user’s mobile number to make the calls (in fact the actual call is made over the Internet) and uses the user’s existing phonebook numbers instead of having to create and add new contacts, as on Skype. Currently available for the users of Android and iOS platforms, Viber is soon going to become the preferred choice for making calls by Windows Phone users.
