Which is Better – Windows® Phone 7 or Android™?
On searching the comparison results between Android and iOS mobile platforms, the search engines will give several results, but if the same is searched for Android and Windows Phone 7 platforms, you will be limited with only some.
Windows Phone 7 is not considered as the major contender in the race of mobile operating systems. As it is still in its nascent stage, it has a very less market share. Even users are a bit reluctant to opt for it because of very little information about it.
Here is a brief comparison between Windows Phone 7 and Android platforms:
No doubt Android is the best-selling mobile platform in the U.S. market, but Windows Phone too is gradually catching up people’s attention due to its consistency in interface and layout of buttons. Whereas on Android-based devices, there are varioius user interfaces and themes, and even the layout of buttons changes between devices and manufacturers.
Secondly, the battery of Android devices drains away at a faster pace when users tend to enjoy the facility of running several applications. As Windows Phone do not support multitasking, this is not the case with devices based on Windows Phone platform. The interface of Windows Phone is designed in such a way that it provides no support for multitasking. This limitation is a bit disappointing for the Windows Phone users.
Android has gained popularity because it offers a lot of opportunities, enhanced features and applications to its users to enjoy. Whereas the newly released Windows Phone 7 has not been able to serve the multifarious needs of the people. But still some people favor Windows Phone 7.
