The mobile operating system from Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 and Finland-based mobile handset making company’s Nokia Lumia 800 have been awarded for being the best innovative product and the best innovative handset, respectively, at the recently concluded Mobile News Award 2012. The prizes were awarded at London on 15 March.
The Nokia Lumia 800 handset runs on Windows Phone 7.5 mobile operating system. During the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Nokia picked up an award of the best budget smartphone for its Nokia Lumia 610, and now it was the turn of Nokia Lumia 800 to make the company proud of its products.
Microsoft beat the Samsung Galaxy Note device to walk away with the Innovative Product award for its Windows Phone 7.5 operating system. Microsoft also won the Industry Advance gong for its popular Microsoft Office 365 service, as voted for by the Mobile News editorial team.
