Recent reports suggest that Windows Phone 7 Marketplace has got more than 20,000 apps in its store. This number suggests that rising popularity is not just for the mobile but also for Windows 7, the operating system.
By only being 219 days old Windows Phone 7 Marketplace has set a standard for being one of the most popular apps market, after following the same trends of Apple’s iStore, Android Market, and Blackberry apps. The current popularity of Windows Phone 7 has been largely contributed to the Windows 7 operating system as it has proven a competent edge against Android and iPhone.
By using Windows Phone 7, many users feel a same sense of operating system environment as Windows 7. It is this familiarity that according to market experts is enabling Windows Phone 7 to have more apps in its store.
Microsoft has provided a stable platform for developers to make various apps, which has enabled the mushrooming of various apps within the platform of Windows Phone 7 marketplace. At a high rate of apps creation, Windows Phone 7 is said to overtake Blackberry’s apps market.
