Wordament, which is a one of its own kind of word game, has been released for Windows Phone devices on Windows Marketplace. In this game, the player competes with the whole Internet world to be the best word searcher. In this tournament of word, every player competes on the same board, in real-time, to get the highest score.
Wordament has a global fan base and downloads “well into the six figures,” says Jason Cahill, one of the creators of this game. The game maintains around 4.5 star average on 4,400 ratings, and is also among the first born-and-bred Windows Phone titles to inspire unabashed app envy. Just type its name into Bing or Google search engines, and up pops the “Wordament”. The game is also now available for Windows 8.
In this game, the players get two minutes to swipe in as many words as they can into a 4x4 grid of lettered tiles. When the time is up, the players will see all the words they found and a (typically much longer) list of common and obscure words you missed.
