Windows Server 2012 Essentials app launched for Windows Phone 7
Microsoft has launched the Windows Server 2012 Essentials app for its mobile operating system platform, Windows Phone 7. The app that’s been codenamed My Server, allows users to monitor computer servers running on Windows Server 2012 Essentials.
The beta version of Windows Server 2012 Essentials was released by Microsoft on July 11. The new software is equipped with several new and improved features such as integration with the Microsoft Online Backup Service, Remote Web Access, Storage Spaces, etc.
My Server is an ideal utility for the remote management of files and devices connected to a server right from a Windows Phone. It alerts administrators with notifications for updates, backup, users, network computers, and lots more. The app can also be used to access files and folders on the server.
My Server is compatible with Windows Phone 7.5 or higher versions of the mobile operating system. Download the free app from the Windows Phone Marketplace.
