WorkSpace tools for Windows® 7 updated
Centrix Software has updated its WorkSpace suite of tools for businesses that are looking to migrate to the Windows 7 operating system. Along with this, the company has also introduced a single sign-on capability for multiple Cloud computing services operated by it.
The updates are applicable to WorkSpace iQ 5.3 and WorkSpace Universal 5.3. The objective of WorkSpace iQ is to check how applications are being used in a company’s network, and also provide information for firms planning a Windows 7 migration.
The software tools can also be used for upgrading to a new application delivery method such as app streaming. WorkSpace iQ also gives reports regarding the applications that have dependencies on Internet Explorer 6 browser, including plug-ins developed for it.
In a statement, Richard Pegden, director of product marketing at Centrix, said that “It's important for organizations to understand their level of reliance on IE6 when planning a move to Windows 7, so we now have a detailed report exactly for this, and where it is being used".
