Zite news reader app now available for Windows Phone 7
The news reader app Zite is now available on the Windows Phone Marketplace for Windows Phone users. The app displays news stories on the basis of a user’s likes and interests.
The Zite news service was bought by CNN in August 2011. The service is already available as an app on the iOS and Android platforms.
The Zite news reader app for Windows Phone uses more than 2,000 categories to display articles. Its algorithm searches for articles through Google Reader and it also uses Twitter. The app lets you like or dislike the articles that are shown. This helps to refine the search for articles according to a user’s preferences.
Mark Johnson, CEO of Zite, is excited about the app’s launch for the Windows Phone 7 platform. According to him, it provides them an opportunity to establish themselves on the Windows Phone Marketplace, which at the present doesn’t have many news readers.
The Zite reader app is compatible with Windows Phone 7.5 or higher versions of the mobile operating system. Download the free app from the Windows Phone Marketplace.
