You should know that in order to perform clean installation you will need to start, or boot your computer using the Windows 7 Installation disc or USB flash drive. Also, if you have any files on the partition, you should back them up before proceeding.
So, here’s how you can clean install Windows 7 if no operating system is installed already.
Step 1: Insert the Windows 7 CD or DVD into your computer's CD or DVD drive, and then restart your computer.
Step 2: Press any key when prompted, and then follow the instructions that appear.
Step 3: On the ’Install Windows’ page, enter your language and other preferences, and then click ’Next’.
Step 4: On the ’Please read the license terms’ page, if you accept the license terms, click ‘I accept the license terms’, and then click ’Next’
Step 5: On the ’Which type of installation do you want?’ page, click ’Custom’.
Step 6: On the ’Where do you want to install Windows?’ page, choose the partition that you want to install Windows 7 on, or click ’Unallocated Space’ if no partitions are listed, and then click ’Next’.
Step 7: Wait for the completion of the Installing Windows process.
Step 8: Follow the instructions appearing on your screen to finish installing Windows 7, which include naming your computer and setting up an initial user account.
