New Desktop in Windows® 7
Windows 7 enables you to manage yourself better by allowing you to customize a number of features. The operating system welcomes you with a desktop packed with several new tools that help you in organizing your icons in the best possible way.
In the earlier versions of Windows like Windows Vista and Windows XP, features like customizing Desktop, Aero Shake were not available. But Windows 7 comes with three simple but powerful new tools called Aero Shake, Aero Peek, and Snap to help you immediately clear through desktop clutter.
It also includes a set of new desktop background wallpapers ranging from sublime to silly. You can also try the new desktop slide show, which displays a rotating series of pictures. This keeps your desktop refreshing and never lets you to become dull.
The taskbar in Windows 7 has been completely redesigned to help you work smarter and cut clutter, and enables you to perform more work in less time.
The gadgets which became popular mini-programs when introduced in Windows Vista, are now more flexible in Windows 7.
For your convenience the Sidebar has been done away with, so that you can stick your gadgets anywhere on the desktop. Windows 7 has been equipped with enhanced features that allows you to view bigger icons on the desktop.
The operating system also has a feature called Aero Shake that is totally a new concept and is being introduced for the very first time. The tool allows you to shake your application windows furiously, to quickly minimize all other windows. With this feature you will be able to minimize all programs on the current screen by shaking. Whereas, Aero Peek allows you to view, close and switch between multiple windows. It can be done by just hovering over the taskbar thumbnail. Aero snap is a feature inscribed in Windows 7 that helps you in pulling a window to the right edge of your screen and it also resizes it to half of the screen on the right side.
