Ok, so you’ve set up a new account. That’s not what we’re here for. You haven’t explained how to migrate my old account into windows 7.

The easier way – use Mozbackup on the old computer to take a backup copy of the account (it includes all settings and emails in the right folders, and the address book). Then use it on the new one to restore. Maybe this is too simple – but it worked for me when I replaced XP by Windows 7.
