Windows® 7 Instant Messaging
Windows Live Messenger in the new Windows 7 offers an interesting Instant messaging service, wherein you can communicate with your friends and family by using simply typing and then clicking on the “send” option. You can send and receive messages instantly.
What should you do to enjoy instant chatting with your friends?
You can see a program window with different categories. Take your mouse pointer over the name of the person with whom you want to start the chat session.
After positioning the mouse pointer on a particular name, click an option on the menu called send an instant message, which will pop up to the side of a particular contact's display name, with which you want to chat.
Then, a separate message window with the contact's display name in the title bar and the contact's display image in the top will be displayed.
You can enter your message in the area at the bottom of the Instant messaging window in the Windows live Messenger. Type a message in the text box and hit the enter key to send that message. As soon as you do this, your line of text will be displayed in the message window as well as in the contact's message window.
You can save your conversation, by clicking on the Show Menu button, and select the option to save from the drop-down menu. An alert dialog box informing you that the conversation will be saved in Microsoft Rich Text format will be displayed by the Windows 7. As soon as you click on OK, Save as dialog box will appear, in which you have to enter the name of the file and select the folder, where you will save the file.
You can end the conversation by clicking on the Close button.
