Functions in Windows® 7
After being completely dissatisfied with Windows Vista, you will be completely amazed with the new features in Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows 7.
Have a closer look on the following features:
User Account Control : One of the biggest change can be noticed in User Account Control “slider” setting which results in less annoyance and more security. User Account Control prevents your computer against hackers and defend it against malicious software. UAC asks the user for the permission, if any program wants to make any changes to your computer. UAC is more flexible in Windows 7 than in Windows Vista. Now, every task don’t require your permission in Windows 7 and if you have administrator privileges, from the control panel you can easily fine tune to UAC’s notification settings.
Windows Explorer : Windows Explorer has gone through remarkable changes to provide enhanced user experience. The Navigation pane is not more complicated, it has been simplified into various categories such as Favorites, Home Group, Libraries, Local computer and network.
Windows Live Photo Gallery : This tool helps you to view, find, organize, open and edit photos and pictures. Also, with an improved Paint tool in Microsoft Windows 7, you can create and work with pictures or graphics in an interesting fashion. With the feature, users can create and edit picture files, also known as bitmap (.bmp) files.
Back up your files over the network: Backup and restore function in Windows 7 enables you to create the safety copies of the most important files. Windows itself chooses what to back up, you just need to set the schedule and then forget about it. You can take a backup on another drive. And if you are using Professional or Ultimate edition of Windows 7, you need not keep the drives as you also have the option of backing up your files to a network.
Home Network : Windows 7 includes devices which can connect to a PC locally or wirelessly, join network and offers rich applications which makes user to use these applications in more flexible manner. Home network can be easily created with Windows 7 that can connect your PC to a printer with HomeGroup, allowing you to watch and record your favorite movie with Windows Media Center. You can associate a default printer to a network that means you have a default printer both at home and at the work place. If the user is at home and the computer is connected to home network, he can automatically print the documents from the home printer and if he is at work place and the computer is connected to the work network the default printer will automatically print from the office printer. The feature can detect the location and itself makes the transition from work to home to use the correct printer in each location.
