What are the various ways to disable and enable quick launch bar in Windows 7?
Windows 7 was introduced by Microsoft with a lot of new features and user interfaces to support the users. The taskbar in the Windows 7 allows programs to be pinned to it so that users can easily open the frequently used programs. The Quick Launch program that was available in the previous versions of the Windows is also available in the Windows 7. The Quick Launch allows the user to easily launch any program that is present in the Quick Launch list without exiting from the program that the user is working with. The Quick Launch function is found as a small, rectangular box on the left side corner of the taskbar adjacent to the Start button. Add programs to Quick Launch
The Windows 7 allows its users to add or remove programs from the Quick Launch. You may add any program to the Quick Launch so that you can easily access them while you are doing work in another program. To add a program to the Quick Launch, click on the icon of the program and drag it to the Quick Launch toolbar. You can also remove the program from the Quick Launch toolbar by right clicking on the program icon in the Quick Launch toolbar and then selecting the option 'Delete'.
Enabling Quick Launch
If the Quick Launch toolbar does not comes as default in the Windows 7, you can enable Quick Launch from the taskbar. Right click on an empty space in the taskbar and then select 'Toolbars'. From the list that appears select 'New toolbar'. In the dialog box that appears, type “%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch”. You would now see the Quick Launch toolbar near to the start button. You can add programs of your requirement to the Quick Launch toolbar. The 'Quick Launch' title would be appearing on the toolbar, you could remove this unchecking the 'Show Title' command that appears by right clicking on the taskbar.
Disabling Quick Launch
Removing Quick Launch toolbar from your desktop is an easy procedure. You can remove it by right clicking on an empty apace in the taskbar. From the list that pops up select 'Toolbars'. Now a list of programs that are available in the taskbar would open up. On that, uncheck the 'Quick Launch' button. Now the Quick Launch toolbar would be removed from your desktop.
