If you got an ASUS Eee PC 1000HE , you may wish to install Windows 7. We know whats going on your mind but believe it or not. It's easy, it's safe, and it's awesome.
For beginners, we would recommend to upgrade to 2GB of memory before you initiate the process, you can go for DDR2 PC2-6400 RAM. You could probably try to do with 1GB memory, but after that you won't be able to experience this new operating system.

Let’s start Windows 7 Installation in Asus Eee PC 1000HE:
STEP 1. Go ahead and get a Windows 7 installation disk. You'll also require a product key in order to complete the installation process. If you have the serial key then make sure you write that down.
STEP 2. If you don't have installation disk. You can download Windows 7 from Internet.
STEP 3. Save the ISO file to your downloads folder or anywhere on your C drive you can reach easily.
STEP 4. Get Magic Disc. Install this on your C drive as well. Next Click the MagicISO icon in your notification area, go to Mount ISO, and locate to where you saved the downloaded Windows .
STEP 5. You will immediately see an installation window, asking to upgrade or ‘custom’ install. There’s no upgrade path from XP so just click ‘custom’. It will show a message something like this: you’re going to lose all your stuff, don’t worry, it’s only for that D drive.
STEP 6. So, you start the installation of Windows 7, next you’ll see a screen offering you options on where to install, choose drive D, Windows will reboot a few times during this process.
STEP 7. After a successful iinstallation of Windows 7, be ready to use but still there are few things to be done. You need to download some of the drivers of Asus Eee PC 1000HE .
