What is Windows 7 startup?
The sequence of steps followed when the Windows 7 operating system boots is known as Windows 7 startup. And the services which are initiated at the time of system boot up is known as Windows 7 startup services.
You can consider the startup process as any one of the following:
1.When your system resume from the hibernate state,
2.When your system resume from sleep,
3.Initial boot up.
The startup programs are saved on the hard disk in any particular folder. So, whenever the system boots up, the startup applications in this folder are launched. If you want to see all the startup programs then you can check them by clicking on the Start button, and then selecting, All programs option. You will see startup folder in the list of All programs. Right click on the startup folder and select the option named Open All Users. By performing this step, you will be able to see the startup folder for all the users on the computer. If you select the option to Explore the folder then you will see only the folder for the currently logged in user.
You can also change the Windows 7 startup programs by clicking on the Start button, followed by typing msconfig in the search textbox. Click on the Startup tab in the system configuration window opened as a result of typing and selecting msconfig in the search box. At this point point you can decide which all programs you want to get them started at the time of system boot up. You will see the check boxes of all the startup applications. You can choose which all applications you need to start when the system boots up by clicking on the check boxes of the applications. After this step you should click on the apply option for saving all the changes made. When you will close the configuration window, the system will ask you to restart the computer for the changes to take place. It is recommended that you should agree to restart the computer for the effects to take place.
