Recovery of Recylce bin
STEP 1 – If you have accidently pressed Del key on HP Windows 7 and have lost some valuable data, you can recover it from the recycle bin by performing this series of steps:
Right click on desktop>Personalize>Appearance and Personalization screen> Change desktop icons.
From the desktop icon tab choose the "Recycle Bin" check box and click OK and you get the Recycle bin on your desktop.
Restoring Recovery bin
STEP 2 – Double click on the Recycle Bin to get access to lost items. Deleted items can be recovered by right clicking on the file and choosing "Restore." But if you don’t get success proceed to STEP 3.
Hard disk detection
STEP 3 - Ensure your hard drive is getting detected by BIOS. Restart your computer and press F2 or esc or Del and enter into the BIOS. If hard drive is detected proceed to next step.
Install new hard disk
STEP 4- Install a new disk on your HP computer or laptop, equip it with Windows 7. Now you can use your old corrupted drive as a slave disk to the new disk.
Connect old disk
STEP 5 - Connect the old drive to the 2nd cable in the computer. If your drive is IDE then look for the correct jumper to attach it but if it is SATA then it will automatically manage it. For connecting old drive to your HP laptop you need to do it via a USB.
Trace your files
STEP 6 – As soon as the drive is hooked up and appears on Windows you can start tracing your files back. You need to specify the location, for instance for desktop files go as; c:\(user name)\desktop, in XP c:\documents and settings\(user)\desktop.
