Remove Unused Fonts in Windows® 7
Remove unused fonts for optimal performance in Windows 7.
Fonts use quite a bit of system resources. For optimal performance, you must uninstall any unused fonts that you do not use on a daily basis.
A font allows you to choose the typeface, size and style of the text. Windows stores these fonts in a special folder called Font, which can be accessed through control panel.
A font is a specific typeface of a certain size and style. For instance, one font may be Arial 12 pt bold, while another font may be Times New Roman 14 pt italic. Most Microsoft Word processing programs offer a Font menu that allows you to choose the typeface, size, and style of the text. You can also delete fonts if there is any requirement.
Steps to delete fonts are given below:
STEP 1. At first, Open Control Panel.
STEP 2. Next, open the Fonts folder.
STEP 3. Don't forget to take a backup of your fonts folder, you may require it in future.
