Windows 7: How to hide an update
Windows Update has annoying notifications and these notifications might bother you when you are busy working on something else on your computer. But we have some good news for you – you can stop these notifications! Windows 7 allows you to hide the update and by doing that you would stop the installation process. You can always restore the hidden updates and install them on your computer whenever you’re free. But you have to remember that some of these updates might be important and so you may have to restore them back again. Do you know how to hide an update on your Windows 7 computer? Here’s how you can do that in a few simple steps:
1. Click on the “Start” button,
2. Go to “All Programs” and then click on “Windows Update”
3. In the left pane, click on “Check for updates” and then, when Windows finds updates for your computer, click “View available updates”
4. Right-click the update you don't want to install, and then click “Hide update”
And that’s how you can hide the updates on your Windows 7 computer. So the next time you get these annoying notifications you can turn them off instantly!
