Why does the error message "Boot Manager Missing" in Windows 7 system?
A boot manager is also called as boot loader. It is a small program which would place the Operating System of a computer into the memory. When a computer is powered-up, the basic input output system would perform some initial tests. It would then transfer control to the master boot record (MBR) where the boot manager resides. When you start up Windows 7, you might get a message saying that “BOOTMGR is missing”. It is not hard to solve the issue. The corrupted boot manager might cause the missing of boot manager. Recover boot manager
Recovery of boot manager is needed when it is corrupted. If any malwares and viruses are present in the system, they have the capability to corrupt the boot manager. So you should recover the boot manager. Try running a startup repair using the Windows 7 disk. You have to configure BIOS to boot from CD or DVD. Then press any key. In the next window, select start up repair from the list. Then, continue performing instructions you would start repair the boot manager now.
Solving hard disk issue
If you have got any problems with hard disk that might also cause the boot manager missing issues. It's possible that computer's hard disk drive might have a corrupt boot sector and master boot record. So repair it with Microsoft Windows Recovery console by running the fixboot and fixmbr commands. Always try to fix IDE/EIDE hard disk drive cable tightly. Or try to remove nay faults present in them. When you are attempting to add a new hard disk drive, try to make sure that it is a blank drive. Check for that and solve that issue.
