o Follow: Start?Control Panel
o Select, program from the Control Panel then,
o Click on Use an older program with this version of Windows then choose your options to make that program work.
Using the tab for specific program
This is a more controlled approach, and the settings that you specify will be applicable for that particular program only. In order to proceed with this follow the following steps:
o Right click on the Program File
o Select Properties
o Now select the Compatibility Mode and choose your settings for that program to make it run.
While using Windows 7 Compatibility Mode, we will be asked to provide settings related to the Compatibility Mode, Run in 256 colors, Run in 640 × 480 screen resolution, disable visual themes, disable desktop composition, disable display scaling on high DPI settings, privilege level and show settings for all users. You can select those options carefully run that program in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode.
Avoid common pitfalls while using Windows 7 Compatibility Mode.
* Do not implement Windows 7 Compatibility Mode for disk utilities, device driver setups or other system programs like antivirus programs. This may lead to system failure and other sorts of serious problem.
* Avoid this mode, if a Windows 7 Compatible Version is available.
* Choose your settings carefully.
* Make sure you have account privileges to run that program.
