Windows 7: How to hide a file or folder

Step 1: Click ‘Start’ and then click ‘Computer’.
Step 2: On the toolbar, click ‘Organize’ and then click ‘Folder and search options’.
Step 3: Click the ‘View’ tab and then select the ‘Do not show hidden files and folders’ option and click ‘OK’.
Step 4: Locate the file or folder you want to hide and then right-click on it.
Step 5: Click ‘Properties’ and in the ‘General’ tab, select the ‘Hidden’ check box.
Step 6: Click ‘OK’ and then click ‘OK’ again.
