Windows 7: Set notification dialog box duration
Windows 7 is preset to display all notifications and alerts for 9 seconds. However, you can easily increase or decrease this time limit to one of your choice. Usually, when you are inactive on your PC or you have screensaver running on it, your PC will line up all the notifications and when you will resume your activity, you will be shown the alerts. Alerts and notifications provide you a good means to remain updated on the latest updates, security misses, and other details as you are automatically notified without you having to delve into the details.
To set the notification dialog box duration as per your choice, you can follow the below mentioned steps:
1. Click on ‘Start’ and select ‘Control Panel’.
2. Click 'Ease of Access' and then click 'Ease of Access Center'.
3. Click ‘Use the computer without a display’ and choose the duration from the drop-down menu next to ‘How long should Windows notification dialog boxes stay open’.
4. Click ‘OK’.
The next time you will leave your PC unattended or when you will be inactive on it for a few minutes, your Windows 7 PC will collect all the alerts and display the message as per your set time. Isn’t it a fast and easy way to control the features of your PC?
